Chakwela Makumbi Ceremony
Chakwela Makumbi is a traditional ceremony by the soli speaking people of Chieftainess Mukamambo Nkomesha. The ceremony takes place in Chongwe District, 43km east of Lusaka. Significance of the ceremony is to entertain guests who come to celebrate the beginning of the planting season for the Soli community and takes place every October before the rains.
