Polish Memorial Site

Polish memorial site – The writing reads "Bog Honor Iojxzyzna" which in Polish means "God honour fatherland". The site is located in Ndola.

On the side, the Polish words translate into "Polish Refugees of the Second Great War 1939-1945 Bwana Mkubwa – Northern Rhodesia" Polish World War ll Memorial Site.

This monument honours the 18,000 polish refugees who found asylum after fleeing Europe in 1943 and there is a graveyard for those who died nearby.
